Privacy policy

Scope

This policy covers the public website at getbuilderiq.com, including the contact form and downloadable documents. It doesn't cover the BuilderIQ platform used by our customers. Data in the platform is governed by each customer's agreement with us.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, work email address and company name. We also collect anything else you choose to share: how many homes your company closes each year, which products interest you, and your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider, Microsoft Azure, records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use these logs only to operate and secure the site.

What we don't collect. The site doesn't use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics tools, and it doesn't build a profile of your visits. The only thing it stores in your browser is a note that the home page video has already played, so it doesn't autoplay again. That note stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is cleared when you close your browser.

How we use your information

• To respond to your inquiry and, if you ask, arrange a demo
• To follow up about BuilderIQ products related to your inquiry
• To keep the website secure and working, including blocking spam submissions

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with others for their own marketing.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run the website. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their service:

• Microsoft Azure hosts the website and stores contact form submissions.
• Azure Communication Services sends our team an email notification when you submit the form.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on our pages. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and maintain our business relationship. We then delete them. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.

Security

The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and submissions are stored in Microsoft Azure with access limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us, or ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. To make a request, use our contact form and tell us what you'd like us to do. We'll respond within a reasonable time and won't treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
